The Voices of Carers at Weston General Hospital
We are incredibly grateful to all the carers who took part in this project.

Invisible Army works collaboratively with carers and their families within their homes, witnessing their everyday lives. Tina Gue, a photographer and Carina Andrews, a carer and writer, document these intimate stories. We listened while carers laughed, cried, shouted, and whispered their stories. All completely unique, yet rather similar. Carers are incredible: they take on a role to which they did not apply to, receive no training for, have no regular supervision, with no opportunities for professional progression, and receive very little income for. Carers are often not asking for much, they simply want people to understand what they do.

In North Somerset, there are over 30,000 carers (unpaid).
